Update #539

I hope fun things happen in my life soon so I can update my blog properly instead of just music videos all the time haha.

15& - Sugar
I love this song a lot it's so catchy and fun! The girls really look like they're enjoying themselves, I like their little "sprinkling" hand movement in the chorus it's so cute, and also the scene where their car broke down and they tried hitchhiking haha. Jimin looks really bubbly and Yerin feels more composed and matured :)

Orange Caramel - Abing Abing
I can't- I just love their songs [breaks down] For someone who dislike the colour pink (well scientifically, pink doesn't exist), cute catchy songs are my weakness ugh. Didn't really like the song at first but um..... yea. It's just a commercial they're doing for Baskin Robbins I heard?

Infinite - Last Romeo
It hurts for me not to dedicate a post to MY FAVOURITE BAND's comeback but ugh this just isn't my favourite music video from them. My first impression was quite :\ since I had like HUGE expectation from them and the vid was sort of...typical? Heard that there was more to the music video like involving ships and sea or something? I'm not sure but they changed the concept after the sewol incident so yea. Well. Things happen. Love my boys :')

Taeyang - Eyes, Nose, Lips
Fangirls are gonna love this. (you know what I mean) Well I'm not a huge fan (don't hit me) so I'll just say I love the music here it's perfect to listen to on a rainy weather while you snuggle up in the corner of your bed thinking about sad stuff.....

4MINUTE - Whatcha Doin' Today
This music video is almost 3 months old already. But after 3 months, I finally like it after I settle myself down and watch the vid properly. I love how bright and fun it is and well I guess it is catchy /coughs/ Sort of avoided it at first because it looks like another typical mv where they tried to be sexy (and frankly, it's a little typical) but I really like the bright colours haha

Phantom - Seoul Lonely ft. Gain
Good collaboration. I love the harmony of their voices.

Boyfriend - Obsession
Haven't heard anything new from them in a long time and we're getting two music videos this time! Not a huge fan and I don't really fancy their group's name but I like their songs :x Yea I'm in for anything catchy heh. Can't wait for the second one the teaser looks good. They look so different from when they first debut now (no I didn't like their first mv but yes the rest after that)

Update #538: Ace Attorney

I see your monsters, I see your pain
Tell me your problems, I’ll chase them away
I’ll be your lighthouse, I’ll make it okay
When I see your monsters, I’ll stand there so brave
And chase them all away
Monsters by Katie Sky. Listening to this song as I upload the screenshots I took while playing aceatt make me just :')
-

So.... I'm finally done with the 5th game of Ace Attorney. Okay I sorta skipped the 4th one which is the side game but I'll get back to it later after I'm done with 6th. For those who doesn't know about aceatt, it's series of games where we play as a defense attorney and defend our clients in the courtroom and stuff so yea.

It took me months cuz some cases in the games are a little draggy even though they're really, really good. Coming so far, despite how ridiculous the gameplay can be sometimes, there are still heartwarming scenes that just make me want to give all the characters a pat (well, maybe except for the murderers - don't wanna to anger them or anything heh)

she's so tough but she still broke down here ugh my heart

maya is such a babe ♥

yoohoo narumayo

yes nick do us proud again i'll see you in dual destinies... tomorrow morning

Update #537

This anon on tumblr asked me to make regular posts for song recommendations, and well, I wanted to, but the problem is that sometimes there just aren't enough good releases for me to make a post about it. But here's a few!

Seo In Guk - Bomtanaba
Well, what can I say about this song.... It's just Seo In Guk being a dork cute with his caffeine addiction and sleepless nights. If I have to describe the song I would say that it's very.... coffee. It feels like a song you would hear in a coffee shop idk? Very comfy and warm :) (side note: ugh i love him so much in Reply 1997)

AKMU - Give Love
If you haven't listen to AKMU, you're MISSING OUT. This music video for "Give Love" is sort of a sequel to the mv for 200% I think? I felt kinda confused about the story though... but it's still good! Soohyun is really cute as a stalker in the mv haha. Well actually the entire album is amazing itself. People should listen to all their songs :D

Putting this here cuz the behind scenes for Give Love is really cute haha.

Wheesung - Night and Day
I love this song a lot!!! He has this amazing and soulful voice (imo) I wish I could comment on the music video but I didn't really pay much attention to it (SORRY) I just listened to the song and it's great so yea heh ^^ I may listen to all sorts of genres but it's this kind of catchy + emotional song that gets to me the most, kinda like Daughtry's Crawling Back To You kind of songs.

IU - My Old Story
UGH IU. She's so pretty. But lemme talk about her voice. It's so cute, yet so matured at the same time? Her singing voice is always so ~flowy~ This song kinda feels like a lullaby, in a good way. On a side note, isn't the guy in this mv from Rooftop Prince? I saw him recently in the kdrama You're All Surrounded too haha (well I think it's him it looks like it was him) :)

Ladies' Code - Make Me Go Crazy
People has been telling me to listen to Ladies' Code when I ask for recommendation but unfortunately, none of their songs really click with me...? Well I came across this song recently, it's from a kdrama called Flower Grandpa Investigative Team. I don't watch the drama but I quite like the song I guess. Finally listen to them so yep haha :x It kind of makes me feel like watching the drama but I'm so lazy /coughs

Suzy - Wind, Wind, Wind
Calling out to fans of Suzy and Kim Soohyun!! Look at this amazing commercial from Bean Pole starring the both of them where Suzy did a cover for an old song called "Wind, Wind, Wind". Ugh they look so good together I miss the Dream High days :') They should be in another drama together!

Akatin's cover for Outer Science
My fav cover for this kagepro song!! It gets me so pumped up ヽ(*≧ω≦)ノ (okay it's supposed to be a crazy and kinda sad song I'm sorry for being pumped up it gives me lots of feels too okay /wipe tears/ gdi Kuroha) Yes my taste in music goes from soothing and gentle to screamo and rock (yeehaw)

-
AND. Infinite's gonna have their comeback soon. The teaser looks really good, can't wait!!(I hate teasers by the way they're so annoying like can't the songs be out already stop teasing me oh god)

Update #536

How do you draw? Do you draw things with one confident stroke or do you draw by doing many light and short strokes?

Looking at the stuff I drew when I was a lot younger, I realized how much I've changed. I was much more confident in the past. I used to wonder why people draw by going over the same part so many times just trying to get the shape to look right when I can get it in a single move of my pencil.

I can't do that now. Not without being afraid that I would ruin the entire drawing if I run my pencil across the paper with a single confident stroke.

Like people say, newborn calves aren't afraid of the tigers. Sometimes it's better being young and foolish, doing things without having to fear about consequences, than being old, experienced and fearing the consequences from the lessons you have learned from past failures.

Yes I know failures do make you stronger, and experiences make you better. But it kind of feels like the courage and the dare to challenge something, or the dare to take risks, is lost along the way.

I don't know.

Book: John Dreamer

Read John Dreamer by Elise Celine recently!

The story is basically about a girl named Andy who found herself in the middle of a great white room with six other strangers. None of them remember how they got there and why they're there. There are seats in the room labelled with their names, styled accordingly to each of their personalities. There, Andy met a guy named John Dreamer who kept staring at her and felt like she has seen him somewhere before. (love at first sight? pfft) A man who called himself the Guardian appeared and told them that they're there to make their dreams come true and change their life forever.

It was a really quick read tbh, but I like the plot. The main character found herself in a place where she has never been before, a place where she can't get out of? Lots of potential! I had so many theories in my mind, like the characters are actually dead, like accidents has happened to them in reality but they were given another at chance, and if they succeed they would get to live and achieve their greatest dream.

SPOILERS AHEAD
Is that how it went? Much to my disappointment, no. It was showed that the characters went on to live their dreams happily but we weren't told how and in what kind of situation so I just assume that it's the reality after all? But how? I was kinda confused. Also, there is very little character development. An obnoxious guy who was annoying for 3/4 of the book suddenly turned nice before his death? That's kinda too fast. And love at first sight? Seriously?

Okay those are just the things I dislike in the novel, but other than those, the story was fine I guess. The ending was a little unsatisfying since it was sort of a cliffhanger I guess? But then again I do like books that end with a cliffhanger so I'm not really sure whether my dissatisfaction is a good thing or not. The plot twist was kinda cool and it wasn't a "wow so it's like this!omg omgOMGG" but an "oh I see..."

I can't really complain about the lack of character development since the novel was rather short so... Even so, we get to learn about the struggles of each characters and how they face their fears and stuff like that. It was an interesting read and I did enjoy it, just that it could have been better.:)

Update #535

Haven't been updating lately so I guess I'll pop by and post some recent kpop songs I love because they're really amazinggggg

note* I'm not a proper reviewer I just get a little dramatic and talkative when I talk about things I like haha

Eric Nam - Ooh Ooh
Super catchy right from the start, I'm pretty impressed by this charming young man. I've heard of him in the past but his name doesn't really catch my attention enough for me to try listening to his songs (yes I'm regretting now I shouldn't have judge him and his songs by his name I'm sorry ;;) I love the music video A LOT it's so playful and really fun to watch :D Hoya did the rapping and he would have looked better if not for that shirt-dress/ long shirt whatever it's called I don't like it lol

Apink - Mr. Chu
Looks kinda typical but ugh I have a thing for cutesy catchy happy songs they just grow on me all the time idk howwww. Didn't like it at first but it started playing nonstop in my head so.... The vocal's nice (and Eunji's really pretty btw- well I may be biased cuz I love Reply 1997)

Orange Caramel - Catallena
I LOVE THIS MUSIC VIDEO SO, SO, SO MUCH. I'm not a huge fan of Orange Caramel, but I listen to their songs a lot and really like a few of their songs cuz they're just so catchy and... different from the usual kpop songs we get these days?? They put in a lot of effort into their music videos too, the costumes and concept is just amazing. This needs more views!

High4 & IU - Not Spring, Love, or Cherry Blossoms
Definitely a song for the spring season! High4 sounds great, paired with IU's amazing vocal. A very soothing and comfortable song it makes me feel happy haha

Akdong Musician - 200%
The siblings duo is back with 200%! I love their voice, especially Soohyun's. Her voice is so... silky?? Very comfortable to listen to. They're both so cute I feel upset reading comments on their videos saying they aren't good-looking and stuff like that. I mean. UGH. Mean people who who can't even sing talking trash behind their anonymous icons? PFFT.

Kenshi Yonezu - Eine Kleine (YES I KNOW THIS ISN'T KPOP BUT I JUST WANT TO POST IT excuse me)
I don't listen to much Japanese songs outside of anime songs but this is awesome omg? It's so comfy (yea by now I know I love catchy/cute/comfortable songs lol) it's so nice to listen to and the video's really pretty with the cool art and all that like, wow. IT IS A VERY NICE SONG YES I LOVE

I love Cher Lloyd's recent songs too, like Dirty Love and Sirens. Her songs always have a catchy beat - perfect to listen to when you're staying up late doing your homework (especially Math!) :D Listening to HAIM recently as well they're good I'm surprised I didn't know about them until this year??

Ugh songs I love good songs.
